There are three primary schools in the village, each sitting within the boundaries of the main village green. One for the Roman-Catholis, one for the Protestants and one so-called Public school, a non-denominational school. All three are designed with identically, with high ceilings and tall glass walls.. Due to legislation, it was not permitted to create doors to then outside from the classrooms, so Aldo van Eyck rented massive opening windows with low window sills that serve as little steps, so pupils could enter and exit the classroom from the outside nevertheless.
